Hi

Something that would be useful would be to have included in the aircraft setup page, would be the option to add a before and after flight delay time (in minutes)

As I fly from a busy airport where the time from startup to airborne can be considerably longer than at a quieter airfield, not only would this provide a more accurate flight time, but as I hire my aircraft and pay by the hour (inclusive of fuel) this would give a more accurate cost when I'm determining which aircraft to hire, as I use the hourly cost feature

I know it may seem minor, but at the cost of 2 optional input fields and a little extra calculation, it would be very helpful

Just a thought

But how would you know when you plan your flight how long any delays might be, I've often flown from busy airfields when I've been held up waitng for wake turbulence to clear, but wouldn't know it would happen at the planning stage. For hire purposes don't you log brakes off to brakes on times? Skydemon does log takeoff and landing times which I find particularly helpful, but that doesn't solve your problem does it. good luck

I see what you're saying NJE with regards to not knowing actual delay times. What I was proposing was rather more of an average value I suppose. For example, barring any major issues, I know that from engine start to take-off clearance, it takes somewhere between 10-15 minutes and on return its about 5 minutes taxi back to the apron

Currently I have an excel spreadsheet that I use, as I found a need to be able to compare aircraft costs vs flying time, of which that extra 15-20 minutes of hire time can make a considerable difference

It just occurred to me when I saw the costs calculated on the right-hand window based on the details entered into the aircraft details section for fuel costs/consumption
